📜 Styled and Staged – Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 06-01-2025
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by Styled and Staged, including home styling, home staging, and event styling. By booking or engaging with our services, you agree to the following terms:
 
1. Services Offered
Styled and Staged provides:
  • Home Styling & Staging: Includes consultations, furniture and accessory placement, layout optimization, and optional rentals.
  • Event Styling: Includes design planning, decor sourcing, setup and breakdown, and optional rental packages.
All services are customized based on client needs and subject to availability.
 
2. Consultation Booking & Payment
  • Consultation Required: All projects begin with a consultation to assess scope and design direction.
  • Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the scheduled service date. Should the client engage Styled & Staged for styling and staging services, the initial consultation fee will be applied to the total service invoice.
  • Late Payments: May result in service delays or cancellation.
 
3. Studio Booking & Payment
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your studio reservation.
 
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
  • Home Services: Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will not incur additional charges. Cancellations within 48 hours may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Event Services: Cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance to avoid full service charges.
  • Rescheduling: Clients may reschedule once at no charge if requested within the cancellation window.
 
5. Reservation & Payment Terms
  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your rental reservation. This deposit ensures your selected items are held exclusively for your event and removed from active inventory.
  • The remaining balance (50%) is due 14 days before the event date. If payment is not received by this deadline, Styled and Staged reserves the right to cancel the reservation and retain the deposit.
  • If the Customer chooses to cancel their order after full payment is made, 25% of the final payment (not including the deposit) may be refunded if cancellation is received at least 7 days prior to the event date.

6. Cash Discount Policy
  • We are pleased to offer a 7% discount to customers who choose to pay with cash. This discount reflects the savings we pass on by avoiding credit card and financing processing fees.
  • Here’s how it works:
  • The 7% discount applies to the total purchase amount of eligible services and materials.
  • Payment must be made in full via cash at the time of purchase.
  • This offer is not combinable with other promotions, financing options (including Affirm), or discounted pricing.
  • By choosing cash, you not only save money—you help us keep costs down and operations efficient. It’s a win-win.

​7. Third-party Financing Payment Disclaimer
  • We offer Affirm as a third-party financing option for your convenience. However, we are not affiliated with any of the Third-party financing in any capacity—before, during, or after your purchase of any services or materials from us.
  • All financing arrangements are made directly between you and Affirm.
  • We do not manage, influence, or have access to your loan terms, payment schedules, or approval status.
  • Any questions, concerns, or disputes regarding your Affirm account, payments, or financing terms must be directed to Affirm customer support.
By choosing to use Affirm, you acknowledge that:
  • You are entering into a separate agreement governed by Affirm’s own Terms of Service and policies.
  • We are not responsible for any issues arising from your use of Affirm including but not limited to payment delays, declined applications, or account management.
 
8. Disputes & Chargebacks
  • By signing our rental agreement, you agree to the terms that the deposit is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel and later initiate a bank or credit card dispute to recover your non-refundable deposit, Styled and Staged will present the signed contract and documentation to the financial institution to uphold the agreement.
  • Disputes initiated after services have been rendered (including delivery, setup, or breakdown) will be treated as a violation of the contract. Styled and Staged reserves the right to pursue legal action or collection efforts for any losses incurred as a result of such disputes.

 

 9. Rentals & Property
  • Rental Items: All rented furniture and accessories must be returned in original condition. Damaged or missing items will incur replacement fees.
  • Client Property: Styled and Staged is not liable for damage to client-owned property unless caused by gross negligence.
 
10. Promotion
  • Styled and Staged reserves the right to photograph styled spaces and events for promotional use unless the client explicitly requests otherwise in writing prior to the service date. Styled and Staged reserves the right to display small branded signage or a QR code near rental installations during events for marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
 
11. Photography & Videography
  • The Customer grants Styled and Staged full permission to photograph and/or film the event setup for use in marketing, advertising, portfolio displays, social media, and other promotional materials, without compensation.
  • Styled and Staged will ensure that these images and videos focus on the rental setup and overall event aesthetic, not personal or sensitive moments, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
 
12. Delivery & Setup
  • Home Staging: Includes delivery, setup, and removal of staging items.
  • Event Styling: Includes decor setup and breakdown unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • Delivery and setup times must be arranged at least 7 days in advance.
  • If Styled and Staged is denied reasonable access to the venue at the agreed time, additional fees may apply.
  • Breakdown and pickup will occur immediately following the event unless otherwise agreed.
  • DIY Options: Available for select event rentals. Pickup and return must follow scheduled times.
 
13. Communication
  • All project updates, design approvals, and scheduling changes must be communicated via email or phone. Styled and Staged will respond within 24 business hours.
 
14. Liability & Disclaimer
  • Styled and Staged does not guarantee specific outcomes such as increased property value or event attendance. All services are provided based on professional standards and client collaboration.
15. Force Majeure
  • Styled and Staged is not liable for failure to deliver services caused by unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, accidents, illness, or venue-related issues beyond our control.
 
16. Governing Law
  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which Styled and Staged operates. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with local jurisdiction.
 
17. Agreement
  • A signed proposal or invoice, along with a deposit, serves as acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms and conditions.​
